Bio

Funeral services for Roy A. Holmes, 69, of Call will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Trout Creek Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E. E. Stringer Funeral Home. Holmes died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 1972 in the Newton County Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Call and a retired welder. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emily Holmes; two brothers, Jack and Tommy Holmes of Call; four sisters, Mrs. Una Heeler of Village Mills, Mrs. Violet Gordon of Beaumont, Mrs. Mary Turner of Hamshire and Mrs. Rosa Richardson of Buna.
