Bio

Betie Holmes Kroger, a homemaker, died Oct. 19 of heart failure at Sierra Vista Regional Health Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz. She was 71. Mrs. Kroger was born in Jasper County, Texas, and lived in Mandeville for the past 36 years. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Thomas "Ed" E. Kroger of Sierre Vista, Ariz., and Richard L. and Dennis W. Kroger; a daughter, Donna K. Degionanne; two sisters, Alberta Clerico and Verna Newman; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held today at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1 N. Marigold Drive, Covington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery. E.J. Fielding Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
