Sarah Catherine (Jupe) Mandel, age 78, of Ross, passed away early Sunday afternoon, December 17, 2017 at West Rest Haven in West. A rosary will be recited 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki officiating. Burial will follow at St. Martin's Cemetery near Tours. Sarah was born January 8, 1939 near Tours, the daughter of Gertrude (Holecek) and John Jupe Sr. She attended Tours School and West High School prior to entering Waco Beauty School. On November 16, 1957, she was united in marriage to Harvey Mandel in Tours. Sarah was a hair dresser for over 60 years and was the owner and operator of Price's Beauty Shop in Mart until her recent retirement. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours. Sarah enjoyed gardening, camping, traveling and going to the casinos. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events and livestock shows. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents; a son-in-law, Danny Ray Mynarcik; brothers, Ralph Jupe, James Kirvin Jupe and John Jupe Jr.; and sisters, Willie Mae Weissinger, Leona Swatzel, Adele Williams and Clara Jo Jupe. Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Harvey Mandel of Ross; daughters, Cindy Mynarcik Soukup and husband of Joe and Lisa Miller and husband Phillip, all of West; grandchildren, Melanie Mynarcik Churchill and husband Damon, Chad Mynarcik and wife Ashley, Paige Miller and fiance Derek Johnston and Dylan Miller; great grandchildren, Kaycee Gail Churchill and Luke Mynarcik; brother Gene Jupe and wife Joy; two sisters, Diana Moore and Betty Jenson; a sister-in-law, Erma Jupe; her dog, Penny; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
