Wife of William Thomas Martin Simpkins. (See bio for spouse.) The inscription on top of the stone reads: 'Tis hard to break the tender cord When love has bound the heart. 'Tis hard so hard to speak the word We must forever part. One other child not linked below: Sarah Arby Simpkins Shirley (1896 - 1958) Arb is buried in Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park, Wichita County, TX, next to her husband Bill. Her FAG memorial is 8843632. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=8843632 Also, not counted in the eight children is a baby daughter who was either stillborn at the time of Mary's death, or as most records suggest, was born on January 28th, infected with measles as was the mother, and died two days later on the 30th, the same day as Mary. In any case, the infant was buried in the casket with Mary, and apparently no official records were produced.
