Willem's mother was Folkertje Krull. Her first name became the forerunner for many Franceses and Fannies among her descendants. Willem and Pietje Visser De Roos along with their sons, John and Tjallings, left Oosterlittens on March 28, 1873 in a party of 16 bound for the New World.
