Bio
Giles (J.D.) Dominic Ostdiek, age 80, passed away peacefully. Born to Ferdinand and Rose (Schutte) Ostdiek, he was the youngest of 12 children; raised on the family farm in Kansas. He graduated from Bird City High School and continued on to business school. J.D.'s career in sales started with him driving his Tom's Roasted Peanuts truck in Colorado. He went on to buy a distributorship of FritoLay and Archway Cookies in Great Falls, Montana where he also met his wife of 52 years, Marilyn (Meyers). They were married on June 26, 1965. They moved to Fresno and raised eight children. He enjoyed life to the fullest and was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was a devout Catholic and he was very proud to have been able to provide a parochial school education for his children. Please click on photo to access a complete obituary.
