Cleon was actually born a Carlock not Brown. When his father broke out of jail and came to Texas abt 1912/1913 he changed his name from Charles Monroe Carlock to Lawrence Brown. Lawrence Brown aka Charles Monroe Carlock is buried at Baker Cemetery Henderson County TX as Lawrence Brown - Brown was his mother-in-laws maiden name.
