ANDREW H SHELLEY, Retired farmer Andrew Hershel Shelley, 97, of Mentone died of heart disease Thursday at Braswell's Hampton Manor in Yucaipa. Shelley, a native of Texas, lived in Menton two-and-a-half years. He was a farmer for Spinks Harvest Contracting for 40 years. Survivors include four daughters, Pearl Spinks of Yucaipa, Ruby Baggett of Houston, Texas, and Mildred Sprouse of Fresno; a sister, Novella Barnes of Whitney, Texas; a brother, Roland of Whitney; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Burial will be privately held in Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno. Hughes Funeral Chapel in Yucaipa will handle arrangements.
