Albert L. Goodwin, formerly employed by the Union Pacific as a brakeman and well known in this city, passed away at his home, 704 West Fourth street, at 4 a.m. Friday, death resulting from sarcoma. Mr. Goodwin had been failing in health for the past several months, but his condition was not regarded as extremely serious until about three weeks ago. He was 42 years of age. Surviving him, besides his bereaved widow, are three daughters, Margaret, age 10; Ursula, aged 9, Irene, aged 4, and on son Albert L., Jr., aged 2 years. His aged mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Goodwin, residing at Burkett, Neb., also survives, as also three brothers, Arthur, of Cody, Neb., Frank, of Denver, Colo., and Milton, of Halsey, Neb., and four sisters, Mrs. John Murphy, Mrs. Mary Goff, Miss Celia Goodwin and Miss Elizabeth Goodwin, all of this city. The deceased was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen and the Knights of Columbus. Definite arrangements for the funeral have not been made, pending word from relatives.
