Grand Island (Nebraska) Independent May 1980 Anne M. Schweiger, 57, of 1007 W. 10th, died Tuesday in a Lincoln Hospital while undergoing heart surgery. Services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Revs. John Rinde and George Kyriakakis officiating. Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m. Thursday at Apfel-Butler-Geddes Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the church. Mrs. Schwieger was born March 4, 1923, at La Junta, Colo., to Bohumel and Anna Michalski Suchanek. She grew up in the Loup City area. She was a 1940 graduate of Loup City High School. She married Earle W. Schweiger in Aurora on July 9, 1943. They lived in Grand Island. After finishing cosmetology training in 1958, she operated Anne's Beauty Shop in Grand Island for 20 years. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert of Grand Island; two grandchildren, Kimberly Schweiger of Grand Island and Earle Schweiger III of Boulder, Colo., and 10 brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Earle, Jr., and a sister.
