Published in The Grand Island Independent of Grand Island, Nebraska on Wednesday, May 24, 1978, Page 2 Services for Anna Suchanek Michalski, 74, of 427 E. Nebraska will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will be in the Calvary section of Westlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7:30 p.m. at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home with the recitation of the rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mrs. Michalski died Tuesday in a Grand Island hospital. Mrs. Michalski was born Dec. 8, 1903, in Moravia, Austria to Mr. and Mrs. John Saganek. When she was 16 she and her brothers came to Charlevoix, Mich., and later to Farwell. She married Robert Suchanek in Loup City on Mary 31, 1923. They farmed near Farwell until 1945, when they moved to St. Libory. Mr. Suchanek died in 1956. She married Walter Michalski on Feb. 7, 1959, in St. Libory. The couple farmed near Nysted and then moved to Grand Island. Mr. Michalski died in 1971. Mrs. Michalski was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Survivors include seven sons, Mike Suchanek of New Orleans, Emil and Robert Suchanek of Springfield, Ore., Tony of Grand Island, Leonard of Redding, Calif., and George of Omaha; two brothers, John and Otto of Alexandria, Mo., 33 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
