BRUNO KIMMINAU OF HASTINGS PASSES AWAY Bruno Kimminau, 93, of Hastings died Wednesday, October 7, 1992 at the Mary Lanning hospital (sic). Rosary was Friday at 7:30 at the Funeral Home chapel and the funeral services were Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with the Rev. Alfred Pettinger officiating. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Mr. Kimminau was born February 14, 1899, south of Lawrence. He married May Harmeyer Oct. 3, 1928 in West Point, Iowa. They lived in Iowa until 1949 when they moved to Mt. Clare where he operated a grocery store. In 1955 they moved to Hastings and he worked at Western Brick, Hastings Utilities and was later self employed. His wife died March 6, 1964. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic church (sic). Survivors are two sons, Arthur and Adrian, both of Hastings; two daughters, Darlene Hotz and Bernice Malesker, both of Hastings; one brother Ferdinand of Washington, Mo.; one sister, Lena Mertens of Lincoln; two half sisters, Kathryn Kimminau of Lawrence and Theresa Wermeskerch of Lincoln; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
