Sarah "Sallie" Clowdus was born 10 Feb 1825 in Abbeville County, South Carolina, and died 21 Apr 1883 in Blount County, Alabama. She was buried in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Harper W. Clowdus and Mary "Polly" Murphree. She married Asa Roosevelt Murphree 27 Feb 1845 in Blount County, Alabama, son of Solomon L. Murphree and Euterpsey Brindley. He was born 27 Feb 1827 in Blount County, Alabama, and died 1 May 1899 in Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama. He was buried in Antioch Methodist Cemetery, Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama.
