On September 18th, the death angel visited the home of Uncle Edward Gilliland and claimed as its victim, mother and grandmother, Aunt Celia Daily. She was 87 years of age. She bore her trials and cares of life patiently and sweetly passed to her reward. In my imagination I see her crowned with glorious liberty, wondrous freedom, free to hold conversation with the angels, the holy and the wise. Oh, we miss her smiling face but it will only be for a little while. She is waiting just beyond the river for our coming. In that city where the gates are not shut by day, where there is no night, and where the streets are pure gold and the glory of God furnishes light. Friends we will not see her any more as we say her last. She will not be withered under the hand of disease, but thank God, in the morning of resurrection she will come forth with a lovely fashion, like unto our Lord. Aunt Celia was a woman who loved God and humanity. May God bless the family who so tenderly cared for her. And may her prayers be answered for those of her children who are unsaved, so that they may yet form an unbroken family around the great white throne of God. Mrs. Flora Maulding.
