Died at age 83. Mary was married. Parents: Asa Roosevelt Murphree. Sarah 'Sallie' Clowdus. She married Stephen Wadsworth 23 Mar 1871 in Blount County, Alabama. MRS. STEVE WADSWORTH DEAD: Mrs. Steve Wadsworth, aged 84, died at her home on route 2, Oneonta, Thursday, December 19th. Mrs. Wadsworth was a member of the Methodist Church and had spent her long, useful life in Christian service. She is survived by her husband, three sons, E.B., L.F. and E.A. Wadsworth, all of route 2 Oneonta; three daughters, Mrs. Elga Jordan, of route 1, Oneonta; Mrs. Dela Huie and Mrs. Ethel Dorsett, of route 2, Oneonta; one brother, Steve Murphree, of route 5, Oneonta, and one sister, Miss Vily Murphree, of route 2, Oneonta. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. W.A. Murphree at Antioch on Friday, with Wade in charge of burial. [The Southern Democrat, December 1935}.
