Died at age 19. Parents: Lewis Benjamin Franklin Shirley. Louisa Shirley Clements. Lewis and Louisa married November 14, 1880 in Blount, Alabama. Married George Terry Hullett January 26, 1905 in Blount County, Alabama. OBITUARY: Mrs. Viola Hullett : Died - In Hardwick's beat, Dec. 20 [1905] with puerperal fever, Mrs. [Mandy] Viola Hullett, nee Shirley, aged about 19 years. A son was born a few days before her death, who also died. [The Southern Democrat, 28 Dec 1905] At 4 o'clock on Wednesday morning, December 20, 1905, our all wise maker saw fit to call to his eternal home the spirit of Mrs. Viola Hullett, the wife of Mr. Terry Hullett and daughter of L. B. F. and Louisa Shirley. Viola was in the bloom of youth being only 19 years of age, and had been married a little less that two years at the time of her death. She was not only a good girl morally but was a true christian who professed religion at Mt. Chapel Church, although she never united with any church. While loved ones and friends morn the loss of such a noble character, yet we must abide the ruling of Him who giveth and taketh away, for he has a purpose in his work. Let us live like Viola and when He calls us we will be ready to go. Although speechless she went smiling, and gave evidence that she was going to meet her precious baby and dwell with the angels. Viola is greatly missed by all. The entire family have our sympathy, and especially the bereaved husband. A friend. [Southern Democrat, January 25, 1906].
SHE WAS AN AFFECTIONATE DAUGHTER AND FAITHFUL FRIEND.
