Ellis Funeral Home, Sudan, TX Edna Seymore Memorial service for Edna Seymore, 83, of Sudan, who died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, in Littlefield, were conducted Monday afternoon, Oct. 12, at First Baptist Church in Sudan. Rev. Robert Roecker, pastor officiated. Burial was in Littlefield Memorial Park with Ellis Funeral Home of Sudan in Charge of arrangements. Edna was born Oct. 2, 1926, to J. A. and Eula Mae Matthews Wood in Amherst the 13th child in her family. She attended Littlefield Public Schools. She married Lloyd Seymore in Clovis, N.M. on June 15, 1941, and they farmed southwest of Amherst, until her husband retired in the mid 1980s. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17, 1997, as well as her parents, seven sisters, four brothers, and a granddaughter, Rhonda, in 1963. Mrs. Seymore was a life-time resident of Lamb County, and was a home maker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sudan, where she was a member of the former Ruth Sunday School Class. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, 4-H Club, and Hospital Auxiliary in Amherst.
