His full name was John Wesley Newton Boyles. Husband of Lottie Street Boyles. ----------------- Laurel Leader Call March 3, 1970 NEWT BOYLES WAYNESBORO, Miss. - Services for Newt Boyles, 77, well known retired farmer of Beat Four Community were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Boyles Chapel United Methodist Church. The Revs. Mr. Payne and Mr. Segers officiated with burial in Boyles Chapel Cemetery, Freeman Funeral Home of Waynesboro in charge. Boyles died Saturday morning at Wayne General Hospital here after a long illness. He was a lifelong resident of Beat Four Community where he operated a farm for many years, and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe Boyles. He was active in political affairs, and had served his beat as Justice of the Peace, and also as constable. He was a member of the Boyles Chapel United Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lottie Street Boyles of Beat Four Community; three sons: Harroll Boyles. Adren Boyles and Bud Boyles, all of Waynessoro; six daughters: Mrs. Edith Malone, Mrs. Ethel Baynes and Mrs. Joan Busby, all of Waynesboro; Mrs. Eva Hendershot of Ohio; Mrs. Missie Ward of Jackson, and Mrs. Lucille Smith, of Tampa Fla.; two brothers: Jim Boyles and Hardy Boyles, both of Waynesboro; three sisters: Mrs. 'Ran Jones, Mrs. Ruth Jones and Mrs. Susie Street all of Waynesboro; 29 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
