Shiner Gazette - January 6, 1966 William Heidrich passed away suddenly at his home in Bay City, Wednesday, December 22, 1965 at 1:00 a.m. of an apparent heart attack. Death was unexpected, as Mr. Heidrich put in a day's work as usual at the Chemical Plant, Brown and Root, Inc. where he was employed as a carpenter. He was born April 28, 1924 at Moulton, the son of Willie A. and Elizabeth (Neubauer) Heidrich and reached the age of 41 years, 7 months and 24 days. A native of Gonzales County, he lived for many years in the Breslau and Witting communities. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Navy during that time. William Heidrich was married to Doris Hildebrandt March 12, 1947, daughter of Mrs. Hugo Albrecht of Witting and the late Alfred Hildebrandt, in the Zion Lutheran Church in Moulton. Following their marriage they lived in this area for ten years then moved to Bay City where they have been making their home since. Mr. and Mrs. Heidrich were blessed with the birth of seven children, who now range in age from 3 to 18 years. Funeral services were held Friday, December 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Bay City, with the Rev. McBride officiating. The body was conveyed to the Witting cemetery where graveside services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Julius F. Holm. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Bay City Funeral Home. He is survived by his grief-stricken wife, Mrs. Doris Heidrich of Bay City; one son, Glenn William; six daughters, Patsy, Bonnie, Peggy, Arlene, Grace and Jane, all at home; his mothers, Mrs. Elizabeth Heidrich of Bay City, four brothers, Elton Heidrich of Sturgis, Kentucky, Werner and Lenton E. Heidrich, both of Bay City, Alvin Heidrich of Wichita Falls; three sisters, Mrs. Earl (Anita) Green of Brownwood, Mrs. Jr. (Vera) Allgood and Mrs. Grant (Ruth) Miller, both of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie A. Heidrich, who passed away January 4, 1954. Serving as pallbearers were Arthur Neubauer, Charley Heidrich, Helmuth Koch, Samuel Heidrich, Bill Pietsch and Jimmy Green. Contributor: Ed Neubauer (49300885) •
