John W. Wright, 76, Mt. Victory, died at his home Sunday, November 17. He had been in declining health for several years. Mr. Wright was born in Pulaski County and had lived here his entire life. He engaged in farming most of his life and had the reputation of being one of the most diligent and capable farmers in the county. His earnest endeavor to lead an upright, Christian life won for him a great number of admirers. At an early age he became a member of the Christian Church and gave tirelessly of his time and energy to the advancement of the Kingdom. His passing is mourned by friends and relatives throughout the county. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Isabell Meece Wright, Mt. Victory; six children, Mrs. Mary Langford and Mrs. Carlie Snell, both of Ula, Lee Wright and Vester Wright, both of Mt. Victory, Mrs. Estelle Edwards, Norwood, Ohio and Mrs. Lillian Hargis, Ula; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Boyd, Somerset and Mrs. Mary C. Hargis of Oklahoma; thirty-four grandchildren; and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were held at the Whetstone Church. Burial followed in the adjoining cemetery.
