Eileen "Nana" Louise Caroline Tielke Alaminsky died May 2, 2015 in Needville, TX. She was born in Needville, TX on December 5, 1926 to Albin F. and Emma S. Tielke. She grew up on the farm and married Lawrence Alaminsky on May 12, 1946 after he returned from service in World War II. The couple moved to Sugar Land and settled in the area that is now Riverstone. Nana was a stay at home mom to the couple's three kids. The family moved to their long time residence on Brooks Street in Sugar Land around 1960. Around the time Nana finished raising her own kids, she began babysitting other children to bring in extra money. Nana helped raise well over 100 kids until her "retirement" in 2011. Nana was an excellent cook and always had a meal at the ready any time her grandkids, or anyone else, stopped by for a visit. If you didn't eat she would insist that you go to the doctor because you must be sick. She also baked cakes and cookies and always had some on hand to share or send home with visitors. Nana enjoyed dancing to polkas and waltzes and also loved to go shopping. She never drove but could always count on friends, neighbors, or family to pick her up and take her to Walmart and out to eat at Larry's Mexican Restaurant. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence; and her brothers, Elton Tielke, Bernie Tielke, Woodrow Wieghat, and Albin Tielke Jr.. She is survived by her children, Carol Brice and husband, Dave, Russell Alaminsky and wife, Rita, and Gayle Maresh; grandchildren, Cris and Shay Meyer, Matt and Kristy Meyer, Randy Alaminsky, Staci and Mike Davila, Ryan Alaminsky, Jennifer and Matthew Richardson, and Jonathan Maresh; and great-grandchildren, Seth Alaminsky, Hayden and Hudson Meyer, Lita and Myla Meyer, Madison Davila, and Abigale, Samantha, and Madeline Richardson; and by her sister-in-law, Evelyn Vaclavik. Memorials may be given in her memory to Immanuel United Church of Christ, 9018 Church Street, Needville, TX 77461. Condolence messages may be written for the Alaminsky family at www.garmanycarden.com. Services are under the direction of Garmany & Carden Funeral Directors, 3103 School Street, Needville, TX 77461.
