Bio

Jay enlisted in the Army Air Corps on January 14, 1942. He served in the 381st Service Squadron as a Supply Clerk. He was stationed in Great Britain and attained the rank of Sergeant. He was discharged at Fort Sam Houston on October 16, 1945. Jay returned to Corpus Christi after the war and lived there until 1962, when he was transferred to the Houston area. He worked for GATX for 30 years until his retirement in 1981. Jay died at his home in Galena Park, Texas after a sudden illness.
