Stella Mae Lankford, 86, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. in Edith Ford Cemetery in Canadian. Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. (Published in Amarillo Globe-News, December 4, 2014) ----- Stella Mae Lankford, 86, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Cox Funeral Home Benton Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. in Edith Ford Memorial Cemetery in Canadian with the Rev. Kevin Tuttle officiating. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Stella was born Oct. 21, 1928, in Childress to Edna and Ollie Lankford. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Canadian and Red Hat Society. She retired from the post office after 29 years of service and owned her own fireworks stand for 30 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting. She was a very loving and caring person, who took great care of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Granville, Durl and Lynn; and a sister, Earline. Survivors include her children, Melba Morris of Pampa, Stanley Lankford and wife Liz of Canadian, Loretta Rogers of Pampa, Carol Ulm and husband Larry of Oregon and Marie Sims of Amarillo; and by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
