Mother of Rheta Marcel, Randell Arcey, Richard Jody, Ronald Harold, Rhonda Cheryl and Linda Rozelle CHILDRESS - Alpha Earline Lankford Elliott, 80, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Calvary Baptist Church with Shane Kendrix officiating. Burial will be in Northfield Cemetery by Johnson Funeral Home of Childress. Mrs. Elliott was born June 29, 1930, in Childress to Ollie E. and Edna Benningfield Lankford. She married J.D. Elliott on Oct. 26, 1949, in Amarillo. Survivors include five children, Marcel Mullin and Linda Morgan, both of Lubbock, Randall Elliott of Northfield, Rick Elliott of Childress, and Cheryl Talbert of Dickson, Tenn.; a sister, Stella Lankford of Amarillo; a brother, Lynn Lankford of Childress; 13 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
