Beeler is the son of Charles H. Burns and Minnie Mae George. At the time of his birth, he was born is what was then known as "Indian Territory" since the state of Oklahoma was officially a state. He was a building contractor by trade and married Nellie Florence Dickey September 20, 1948 in Wheeler, Wheeler Co., Texas. Beeler was previously married to Oma Singleton on January 14, 1916. Oma passed away in 1946. ************************************************************ Cheyenne Star Obituary Beeler Charles Burns was born January 16, 1897 in Indian Territory near Marlow, Oklahoma. He passed away March 4, 1969 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Funeral services for Mr. Burns were conducted Thursday, 2:00 p.m. March 6, 1969 at the Methodist church in Cheyenne with Rev. William Chace, pastor of Methodist church, and George D. Frank, Minister of Church of Christ, officiating. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Burns and his mother Minnie P. Burns. Two brothers John W. Burns and an infant brother Earl Burns, one sister, Callie Douglas Burns. Beeler Charles Burns grew to manhod near Marlow, Oklahoma and was married to Oma Singleton Burns on January 14, 1916. To this union was born seven children, four of which preceded him in death. The family lived in the Marlow and Oklahoma City area until 1941 when they moved to El Centro, California, where the mother, Oma Burns departed this life, September 23, 1946. Surviving children are tow daughters, Mrs. Jessie Mae Lawless, El Centro, Calif, Mrs. Leora Helen Jones, El Centro, California, one son, Harold L. Burns, Bakersfield, California; six grandchildren and one great grand child. Beeler Charles Burns was married to Nellie Dickey Burns, on September 20, 1948 at Wheeler, Texas. After living one year in El Centro, California, Mr. Burns and his wife Nellie established a home in Cheyenne, Oklahoma August 1949. Mr. Burns, a 32nd degree Mson, was a retired Carpenter and businessman. He is survived by his wife Nellie Burns, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Other survivors include: three brothers, Samuel L. Burns, Dinuba, California, Leonard W. Burns, Reydon, Oklahoma; Clifford L. Burns, Cheyenne, Oklahoma and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Julian, Sterling, Oklahoma; Mrs. Mabel Hammon, Reydon, Oklahoma and a host of nieces and nephews. Masonic rites were conducted by members of the Cheyenne and Reydon Lodges. Interment was in the White Rose Cemetery, Reydon, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
