Edward "Ed" Adolph Palat, 88, of Clute, Texas, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2004, in Clute, Texas. Ed was born on January 9, 1916, near Needville, Texas. He worked for Dow Chemical Co. from 1941 to 1975. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Freeport, Texas. He will be remembered as the accordion player at many nursing homes and especially at Village on the Creek Nursing Home where he resided for the last five months. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marie, of 55 years; three brothers, Willie, Alvin, and Ernest Palat; and his nephew, Leslie Seiler.
