I personally conducted interviews with Ernest Palat (my father), Mildred "Aunt Mildred" Bessie (Palat) Seiler, and Edna "Auntie Dolly" Lillian (Palat) Tribble. According to my father his mother - Frances Palat - had two girls that died. One at birth and one in infancy. Aunt Mildred said the one between Uncle Alvin and Uncle Ed was still born. The one born between Uncle Ed and Uncle Bill lived to be about a week old and her name was Angelina. She said the name of the burial place was the Zamanek corner. Aunt Dolly identified the fourth child as Angelina. Uncle Ed's birth certificate states that "Number of children born to this mother, including present birth 3" and "Number of children of this mother now living 2", Aunt Dolly's birth certificate states that "Number of children born to this mother, including present birth 8" and "Number of children of this mother now living 6", and Ernest Palat's birth certificate states, "Number of children born to this mother, Including present birth: 7, Number of children of this mother now living: 5." Aunt Dolly told me that her and her mother - Frances Palat would go visit two graves and take flowers. She was certain this was the gravesites of her two sisters. For the purpose of keeping birth order, I just picked the year for the first girls' life as 1914 and for Angelina 1917, and therefore, the actual years are unknown. by Richard Lynn Palat Sr.
