The Brazosport Facts, April 5, 1995: Funeral services for Marie Elizabeth Palat, 76, of Clute, will be Thursday, April 6, 1995, at 12 noon at Lakewood Funeral Chapel, with Father Jim Lyons officiating. She died Tuesday, April 4, 1995, at St. Luke's Hospital in Houston. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Rosenberg on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Deacon David Mitchell officiating. Mrs. Palat was born June 21, 1918 in Granger, Texas and was an area resident since 1949. She was a member of St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Clute. Survivors include her husband, Edward Adolph Palat of Clute; brother, Oldrich Kalinec of Fairchild; and 2 sisters, Angeline Sabrsula of Fairchild and Martha Cummings of Houston. Pallbearers will be Ronald Tribble, James Kubala, Ben Kubala, Bill Palat, Jim Palat, and Raymond Kubala. Arrangements by Lakewood Funeral Chapel.
