************************************************************ Services were held Wednesday, May 31, at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Plattsmouth for LUCY HELEN GAYLORD, 85, of Plattsmouth, who died Sunday, May 28, 1989, at St. Joseph Villa in Omaha. She was born October 13, 1903, in Walnut Grove, MN, to Martin G. and Anna (Dostal) Stava, she moved to Nebraska in 1910, and lived on a farm west of Plattsmouth. She graduated from Plattsmouth High in 1922. She taught school, then married and worked at the Plattsmouth Creamery. She was also a home-maker. Lucy married Lester Orville Gaylord December 24, 1924, in Council Bluffs, IA. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit and Catholic Daughters, PCCW. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Katherine Spidell of Plattsmouth, and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Emily Troop and Eva McCarthy; three brothers, Louis, Edward and Thomas Stava; and her husband, Lester O. Gaylord. Father Paul York conducted the service. Mary Klein played the organ. Grace Meisinger was lector and John Kriskey, acolyte. Pallbearers included Clarence Cuthrell, Sam Hardy, Karl Kobald, John Kobald, Russell Nielsen and John Williamson. Burial was at the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Plattsmouth. The family suggests masses or donations to the Church of the Holy Spirit. Fusselman-Perry-Roby Funeral Home, Plattsmouth in charge of arrangements. ************************************************************
