************************************************************ EVA MAY McCARTHY, age 84 of Plattsmouth, NE; passed away Saturday, February 21, 1981 at the Plattsmouth Manor Nursing Home. Eva was born May 8, 1897 in Walnut Grove, Minnesota, daughter of Martin George and Anna Dostal Stava. She married Kenneth McCarthy in Plattsmouth on November 1, 1920. Preceded in death by husband, Kenneth; Mrs. McCarthy is survived by daughters: Mrs Ray (Mary Phyllis) Kobold; St. Charles, IL, Mrs. Gerald (Annette) Sharpneck, Hastings, NE, brother Louis Stava, Omaha, and sisters: Mrs. Lester (Lucy) Gaylord and Mrs.Katherine Spidell, both of Plattsmouth. 11 grandchildren. Services: Monday, February 23, 2:30 p.m. at the Church of The Holy Spirit, Plattsmouth. Interment: Holy Sepulchre cemetery, Plattsmouth. Rosary: 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Caldwell Chapel. Visitation from 1-9 p.m. Sunday. Caldwell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
