************************************************************* THOMAS STAVA RITES WILL BE WEDNESDAY Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June, 5, 1974 from the Caldwell Funeral Home for THOMAS STAVA, 74, who died June 1 at his home RFD 1, Plattsmouth. The Rev. Paul Sheehy will officiate. Interment will be at the Oak Hill cemetery. Fred Fickler, David Freel, Willard Gochenour, Stanley Lepert, Jerry Ficklin and Charles Warga will be pallbearers. Visiting hours will be Tuesday afternoon and evening at Caldwell's. Mr. Stava was born July 9, 1900, at Walnut Grove, Minnesota to Martin and Anna (Dostal) Stava. He was a lifelong resident of Plattsmouth and he never married. Thomas farmed all of his life in Plattsmouth. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 56 and was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church. He served with the United States Army in WW II. He is survived by a brother, Louis of Omaha; sisters: Mrs. Eva McCarthy, Mrs Lester (Lucy) Gaylord and Mrs. Katherine Spidell, all of Plattsmouth.
