************************************************************ KATHERINE A. SPIDELL, 86 of Plattsmouth died Monday, September 25, 2000 at the Plattsmouth Manor Nursing Home in Plattsmouth. Katherine was born June 25, 1914 in Plattsmouth to Martin George and Anna (Dostal) Stava. Katherine married Renner Spidell on October 31, 1931, in Maryville, Missouri. Together they had three children; Jennie, Stuart (Bud) and Billie June. Katherine and Renner later divorced. She was raised and schooled in Plattsmouth and was a graduate of Plattsmouth High School class of 1931. Katherine worked at Offutt Air Force Base; Glen L. Martin Bomber Plant; Trumpane Company; St. Joseph's Hospital; and the Plattsmouth Manor Nursing Home. She spent many years working as a Clerk for the Cass County Surveyor where she retired. She is survived by her son Stuart (Bud) of Summer Shade, Kentucky; daughter; Jennie Williamson of Plattsmouth; 13 grandchildren; many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by daughter: Billie June Giesenhoff; her parents; 3 sisters: Eva (Kenneth) McCarthy, Lucy (Lester) Gaylord, Emily (George) Troop; 3 brothers: Louis, Edward and Tom Stava; son-in-law: John Williamson and daughter-in-law: Geneva Spidell. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 28, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Cato Sims officiating. Her niece Florene Smith was the organist. Pallbearers were Frank Eyster, David P. Meisinger, Brian Payton, Dr. Ron Rhoden, Loren Topliff and Jeff Wiles,. Arrangements by Roby Funeral Home, Plattsmouth ***********************************************************
