************************************************************* Funeral services were held Monday, October 21, 1974 for LESTER O. GAYLORD, 72, of 612 South 10th St., Plattsmouth, who died Thursday, October 17, 1974 at Clarkson Hospital. The Rev. Father Paul Sheehy officiated. Pallbearers wer Ray Abel, Clarence Cuthrell, Raymond Kobald, Edgar Newton, Russell Nielsen, and Martin Stava. Mrs Twyla Hodge was organist and Mrs. Edgar Newton and Mrs. Russell Nielsen were flower ladies. the late Mr. Gaylord was born October 13, 1902 at LaHarpe, Kansas. His parents were Gilbert and Sophia (Brisbin) Gaylord. On December 24, 1924 he married Lucy Gaylord in Council Bluffs. A lifetime Plattsmouth resident, Mr. Gaylord worked as a general foreman for the Burlington refrigeration department (BREX), Plattsmouth. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge 365. He was past president of the Aeries. In addition to his widow, Lucy he is also survived by a sister, Mrs. roger (Helen) Rhodes of Denver, Colorado.
