Bio

(KS) Cuba Tribune June 10, 1926 Marie Wiruth was born November 12, 1848 in Bohemia, Europe and died at her home three miles south and one mile east of Cuba June 3, 1926 at the age of 77 years. 6 months and 21 days. In the year 1872 she was married to Joseph Zacek and two years later in 1874 they came to America where they homesteaded the farm in which they lived. Nine children were born to this union all of whom survive their mother. Those left to mourn her loss are: her husband, three boys, Adam of Cuba, Joe of Haddam and Frank of Agenda; six girls, Josie Kasha of Mahaska, Betty Shulda of Flagler, Colo., Mary Blazek and Emma Blazek of Cuba, Stella Beneda of Agenda, Rosa Barnett of Barclay, Kansas; thirty-four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jos. Wiruth of Crete, Nebr. and Martin Wiruth of Haddam. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5th from the home at one o'clock in the afternoon. Interment was made in Kopsa cemetery.
