FRANK P. MATULKA FUNERAL SERVICE THURSDAY, MAY 3. Services for Frank P. Matulka, 74, of David City were conducted Thursday morning, May 3. from St. Mary's Church, David City with Father Bradley Zitek celebrating the Mass of ChristIan Burial. Mr. Matulka died Tuesday, May 1, at the Butler County Hospital following a lengthy illness. Pallbearers were Randall Semrad, Ronald Semrad, Donald Bohuslavsky, Kenneth Bohuslavsky, Orin Barlean and James Srb. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Frank P. Matulka, the son of Frank and Anna Bartek Matulka, was born June 24, 1915, at Dwight. He attended Dwight Catholic School. On June 16, 1942, he was married to Henrietta Pleskac at Immaculate Conception Church in Ulysses. Three children were born to this union. A retired farmer, he farmed near Octavia 25 years and worked at Hughes Bros in Seward and Archer Daniels Alfalfa Mill in Schuyler for 14 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife. Henrietta of David City, three daughters, Mrs. Richard (Carolyn) Semrad, Mrs. Ernest (Henrietta) Nekuda and Mrs. Craig (Elizabeth) Steinbeck, three brothers. Joe B. and Alois Matulka of David City and Sylvester Matulka of Seward, three sisters, Katherine Kliment of Valparaiso, Agnes Bohuslavsky of Brainard and Marcella Furasek of Touhy, three grandsons and three granddaughters.
