SERVICES FOR HENRIETTA MUTULKA CONDUCTED SEPTEMBER 19 Services for Henrietta Katherine Matulka of David City were conducted Wednesday morning, September 19, from St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Bradley Zitek celebrating the Mass of Christian Burial. Mrs. Matulka, 71, died Monday, September 17, at the Butler County Hospital following a short illness. Pallbearers were Randall Semrad, Ronald Semrad, James Srb, Lawrence Schlesinger. Orin Barlean and Ray Brockeveldt. Burial was In St. Mary's Cemetery. Henrietta K. Matulka, the daughter of John and Frances Pesek Pleskac, was born March 16, 1919, in Linwood. She graduated from Ulysses High School in 1939. On June 16, 1942, she was married to Frank Matulka at Immaculate Conception Church In Ulysses. Three daughters were born to this union. She was employed at D & L in Columbus. A homemaker, she was a member of the Catholic Church. She is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Richard (Carolyn} Semrad and Mrs. Ernest (Henrietta) Nekuda of Linwood and Mrs. Craig Steinbeck of Vail, lowa, two brothers, Milo Pleskac of Lincoln and John Pleskac of Beaverton, Oregon, a sister, Mrs. Frances Doney of Clackamas, Oregon and six grandchildren, Randy and Ronald Semrad, Lort and Amy Nekuda and Dustin and Tiffany Steinbeck. Her parents, husband, Frank, who died in May, 1990 and four brothers and a sister preceded her in death. From the Banner Press, David City, Nebraska, Thursday, September 20, 1990
