KATHERINE KLIMENT Katherine Kliment, 89, Valparaiso died Saturday, May 12, at The Ambassador Home Care in Lincoln. Mrs. Kliment was born September 28, 1911, at Dwight to Frank and Anna (Bartek) Matulka. She attended Assumption Catholic School in Dwight. She worked on neighboring farms following school and later moved to Omaha where she worked as a housekeeper for several years. She married Adolph A. Kliment April 22, 1935, at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight. They lived on a farm near Valparaiso until moving into Valparaiso in 1976. She moved to The Ambassador Home Care in March. She was a member of Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Valparaiso, Parish Council of Catholic Women, and the Valparaiso Senior Center, where she was an active volunteer, and a former member of the church quilting group. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law. Ron and Darlene, two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma and Jim Buresh and Bernice and Larry Suchy, all of Valparaiso, 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one sister, Agnes Bohuslavsky of David City, brothers and sisters-in-law, Alois and Millie Matulka and Joe and Ann Matulka, all of David City, Helen Obnoutka of Valparaiso, and Eileen Matulka of Seward and a brother-in-law, Frank Furasek of Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on September 28, 1984, one grandson, David Buresh, two sisters, Tony Fiedler and Margella Furasck and two brothers, Frank and Sylvester Matulka. Services were held Tuesday May 15, at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kuffel officiating. Buria was at Sunrise Cemetery Wahoo. Pallbearers were Randy and Brian Kliment. Doug Buresh, Alex Westergaard, Tim Suchy and Aaron Pierce. Honorary pall bearers were Kyle Stark, Zac. Eli and August Kliment. Jeremy Maxsen, and Andy and Adan Pierce. Arrangements were made by Svoboda Funeral Home, Wahoo. from the Banner Press, David City, Nebraska, Thursday, May 17, 2001
