Bio

John was the son of Joel Meredith & Catherine Jane Stephenson Maudlin. On 12 August 1873, he married Martha Jane McPheeters. They were the parents of 14 children-Mary Alice (Miller), Amanda Ellen, Cora Belle (Hensley), James William, Laura Jane, Rachel Delania (Bagley), Elizabeth, Lucy Anna (Austin), Carrie Louvena (Monday), Sarah Ruth, Tenie Josephine, Minnie Ivy (Jackson), Nellie Faye (Hunt),and Charles Ezra.
