Published in the Ord Quiz, Ord, Nebraska, Thursday, March 17, 1977, Page 8, column 1 Mrs. Rosie Sich Services at Ord Mrs. Rosie Sich, 81 of Ord died March 12, 1977 at the Valley County Hospital. Mrs. Sich was born April 10, 1895 at Burwell, Nebraska the daughter of Frank Sr. and Anna Hlavinka Masin. Her early life was spent on a farm with her parents in Valley County. On April 10, 1917 she was united in marriage to James A. Sich Sr. at the home of her parents in Valley County. After marriage they made their home on a farm northwest of Ord in Eureka Township until 1934 when they moved to a farm in Geranium Township. They then moved to a farm north of Ord until the fall of 1973 when they retired and moved to Ord to make their home. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in 1967. Mrs. Sich was a member of Jungman ZCBJ Lodge #161. Survivors include three sons; Leonard of North Loup, Robert and Jim both of Ord; two daughters, Mrs. Minnie Hosek of Arcadia and Mrs. Lorraine Richards of Bloomington, IN; 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Mary Gross of Ord. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband on March 25, 1975, one son, three brothers, one sister, three grandchildren and one infant sister.
