Noah Richard Holbrook, 78, died Tuesday (Dec. 11,2001) at Russell County Medical Center, Lebanon, Va. Born in Carfax, Va., he was the Son of Phillip and Melissa Holbrook. Married 1st wife Anna Robinette Sept.21, 1944, had son Nedlan divorced August 8, 1952 . He was a retired miner and attended Mary Martin Presbyterian Church. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy working with a navy construction battalion in the Pacific. After this tour he suffered with bouts of malaria the rest of his life. He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenna McConnell Holbrook; and one son, Nedlan, siblings Orpha and Ruth Pennington Surviving are two daughters, Susan Robinson and husband Roger,Castlewood, and Eva Ring and husband Doug, Coeburn, Va.; siblings: Edgar (Dorthy Overton-Gary Lynn, Phoebe , Amy Beth), Flora (James Cecil Jordan-James jr, Terry, David, Anita, Rita), Samantha( Rebecca Sue ), Wiburn and Opal ( Bill - Debby, Brenda, Forrest ).
