Beloved husband of Maude Melissa Salyers, who he married on December 14, 1918. Mother of Ruth(Herbert Pennington-Herbert Jr.,Kenny,Eddie Lee), Orpha, Edgar(Dorthy Overton-Gary Lynn, Phoebe , Amy Beth), Flora(James Cecil Jordan-James jr, Terry, David, Anita, Rita), Noah(Anna 1st-Nedlan Glenna 2nd-Susan & Eva Martha 3rd), Samantha( Rebecca Sue ), Wiburn and Opal(Bill-Debby,Brenda, Forrest ). Great grandpa to all the ones that followed. It's hard to believe but now he's also great, great, great grandpa now. Son of Henry Wise and Nancy Buchanan Holbrook. Brother of Mary F. ., James Walter, Sarah Lavania, Guy, and Martha M. Injured in WWI by an unremovable piece of scrappnel imbedded in his head.
