Bio

Herald Coaster, September 19, 1972: Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday for Joe Sury, 74, a Needville resident who died in his home Monday afternoon. Rev. Richard Avery will officiate at services at St. Paul Presbyterian Church in Neeville, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A retired farmer and employee of the Fort Bend County, Mr. Sury was a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Erna; daughter, Mrs. Nelson Kramer of Hempshire; sisters, Mrs. Judith Kenney of Needville and Mrs. Lucille Schlitzkus of Damon; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at Garmany and Co. Chapel in Needville. The family suggests contributions be made to the church memorial fund.
