Herald Coaster, September 28, 1969: Funeral services for Katherine Sury, aged 90, will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday from the Triska Chapel in Needville, followed by mass at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with Rev. K.E. Mikulik officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Needville. A rosary was set for 8 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, and friends were invited to call there after 1 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Sury died Friday at the Autumn Hills Nursing Home. She was born in Lidecia, Czechoslovakia and was a resident of the Needville area for 60 years. Her husband and a son preceded her in death. Mrs. Sury is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Edgar Kenney of Needville and Mrs. Albert Schlitzkus of Damon, and one son, Joe Sury of Needville. ************************************************************************************** Daughter of Anna Sykora Danek (1860-1902)
