Bio

Fred Joseph Schuller Jr. was born on 18 March, 1908 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to parents Fred Schuller and Katherine Odor Schuller who immigrated to the U.S. from Hungary. In 1920, Fred, aged 11, was living on Missouri St. in El Paso, Texas with his parents and two sisters, Elizabeth, age 9 and Emma age 6. On 12 October 1928, Fred and Blanche were married in Pinal County, Arizona. They were living in the small mining town of Ray, Pinal County, Arizona where Fred was a Machinist for the Ray Mill when daughters, Ora Lee was born July 6, 1929, and Jeanne Carol, July 23, 1930. Blanche's sister, Alice Blair Baker and her husband, Henry Baker also lived in Ray at that time and her brothers, Eddie Blair & Johnny Blair lived in nearby Superior with their families and worked in the Magma Copper Mine. By 1935 Fred, Blanche and the girls were living on Wyoming Street in El Paso, Texas and Fred worked as a machinist for El Paso Machine Works, 1214 Texas St. Their third daughter, Freddie Jo was born in El Paso on April 8, 1935. Their sons, William E. 'Bill' Schuller, Apr 17, 1940; John D. Schuller, June 20, 1945; and Kenneth S. Schuller; all born in El Paso, Texas. (From Family Records by Ruth I. Survivors include his daughters, Ora Lee Houston, Jeanne Paul and Freddie Jo Peterson; his sons, Bill Schuller, Johnny Schuller and Kenny Schuller; two sisters; a brother; 16 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche. He was a building products supervisor with Atlas Building Products and had lived in El Paso 85 years. Arrangements are by Harding, Orr and McDaniel Funeral Home-Montana.
