Hillsboro Reporter December 2002 LOUIS PRIBYLA Mr. Louis J. Pribyla, 92, of Mount Calm died Tuesday, December 10, at a Waco hospital. He was born January 16, 1910 in Mount Calm and had lived in that area all of his life. A retired farmer and carpenter, he was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Tours and a former member of Church of the Nativity Blessed Virgin Mary of Penelope, where he was the first boy to be baptized. He married Evelyn Horak September 2, 1940 in Penelope. Survivors include: his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Barbara Pribyla of San Antonio; one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Richard Kocian of West; one sister, Henrietta Beseda of Penelope; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, December 12, at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, December 13, at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Penelope. Memorials may be made to the building fund of St. Martin’s Catholic Church of Tours.
