Mrs. Anna Pratka, age 88 of West, passed away Monday afternoon November 27, 1995, in a Waco nursing home. Rosary was recited at 10 a.m. Nov. 28 in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:15 a.m. Nov. 28 in St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mrs. Pratka was born April 6, 1907 at Mount Calm and had lived in the West area for the past 66 years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West; a 50-year member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court No. 829 of West. She had been employed at the Village Bakery in West for a number of years. She married V. J. Pratka, August 12, 1926 in Penelope. He preceded her in death December 17, 1985. Mrs. Pratka is survived by one son, Daniel Pratka of Rt. 1, West; one daughter, Mrs. Joe R. (Mildred) Stanislav of Waco; one brother, Louis Pribyla of Mount Calm; five granddaughters; 10 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were Ty Brown, Bill Aufman, Jerry Bolfing, Andrew Jackson, Jr., David Crutchfield and Matthew Aufman. Honorary pallbearers were members of C.D.A. Court No. 829 of West.
