Evelyn F. Pribyla, 89, of West, formerly of Mt. Calm passed away Saturday, May 5, 2007, at her residence. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours with Msgr. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Penelope. Evelyn was born in Penelope, Texas, and had lived in the Penelope/Mt. Calm area most of her life and had been a resident of West for the past four years. She was a member of St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours and married Louis J. Pribyla on Sept. 2, 1940, in Penelope. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Pribyla, on Dec. 10, 2002. Survivors include son, Lawrence Pribyla and wife, Barbara of San Antonio; daughter, Carolyn Kocian and her husband, Richard, of West; granddaughters, Diana Chase and her husband, Burton, of San Antonio, Cynthia Pribyla, of San Antonio, and Rachel Croll and her husband, Daniel, of Houston; grandson, Daniel Kocian, of the U.S. Navy in Hawaii; great-grandchildren, Joe and Jory Herrera and Caleb and Charis Chase, of San Antonio; brother, Eugene Horak and his wife, Marie, of West; sister, Ann Schneider and her husband, Charles, of Fort Worth; Waco Tribune-Herald: 5/7/2007 - 5/8/2007...TH1/O1
