Bio

Henrietta Beseda, 91, of Penelope, Texas, passed away Monday, February 19, 2007, in West. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Tuesday, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. in Penelope with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery near Penelope. Henrietta Emilia was born near Mt. Calm, Texas, to the late Fred and Emilie (Holacka) Pribyla. She was raised in the Penelope area and attended Griffin School. On October 25, 1937, she was united in marriage to Raymond John Beseda in Penelope. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and embroidering. She was a member of the Altar Society and R.V.O.S. and she was also a faithful and lifelong member of the Church of the Nativity, B.V.M. in Penelope, where she helped with the church bazaars. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 4, 2002; and grandsons, Michael Kucera who passed away on November 28, 2002, and Stephen Kucera. Survivors include her daughter, Claudine Kucera and her husband, Johnny, of Penelope; granddaughter, Janice Chase and her husband, Rodger, of West; great-grandsons, Craig Chase and Rodger Chase, Jr., both of West; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
