Lawrence "Larry" Pribyla, 65, of San Antonio, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, at his residence. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Sunset Ridge Church of Christ, 95 Brees Blvd. in San Antonio, with Minister John Harp officiating. Larry was born in Penelope, Texas, to the late Louis and Evelyn Pribyla. He attended Penelope schools and graduated from Hubbard High School in 1962. After graduation, he moved to San Antonio, where he attended electrical school and worked for the Methodist Hospital, Delview TV and Appliance, and Ft. Sam Houston Army Base, where he retired after 31 years. He also built his own business C & D A/C and Heating Services, named after his daughters, which he owned and operated for 35 years. Larry was a member of the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society, where he served as president for several years. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Diana Chase and husband, Burton, and Cindy Pribyla, all of San Antonio; sister, Carolyn Kocian and husband, Richard, of West; his niece Rachel Croll and husband, Daniel, of Houston; his nephew, Daniel Kocian, of Pearl City, Hawaii; the mother of his children, Linda Rascoe Pribyla, of San Antonio; grandchildren, Caleb, Charis, Joe, and Jory, all of San Antonio; his beloved pets, Stoney and Shafer; and other relatives, and friends.
