No grave stone could be found in Section D, Row 1, Lot 20, Grave 3 which is where the cemetery office states he is buried. Rites Friday for Frank Tomecek, Early Settler Frank Paul Tomecek, 63, longtime resident of Nueces County, died in a local hospital about 3 p.m. Wednesday. Tomecek came to Nueces County from Williamson County in 1918 and had farmed in the Agua Dolce-Orange Grove area ever since. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Mary Tomecek of Robstown, three daughters, Lillian Tomecek of Robstown, Mrs. Ray Palmquist of Temple, and Mrs. Joe Prochaska of Robstown; five sisters, Mrs. Rudolph English, and Mrs. John Kocurek, both of Corpus Christi, Mrs. Joe Kaderka of Bartlett, Mrs. Joe Chasak of Bartlett, Mrs. Joe Kocurek of Granger; three brothers; Joe Tomecek of Swertner [this should read Schwertner per Karen Tomecek], Lewis [sic] Tomecek of Oklahoma City, and Anton Tomecek of Baytown; and four grandchildren. Rosary will be recited at Robstown Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be a 9 a.m. Friday at the St. John's Catholic Church of Robstown with Father George Seecina officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Corpus Christi. Pallbearers will be Walter Nesloney, Frank Moravek, Jr., Leo Kollaja, John Sablaturn, Emil Calvez, and J. Prochaska.
